You are not hungry

One of the greatest hurdles of losing weight is our desire to eat, pops up every now and then. Many times even after we had food an hour ago, we find ourselves looking for food again. It is mostly not because we are hungry, but because we are bored and would like to do something that we enjoy the most. Many times we have seen that the food is tastier when we are very hungry. That is because we appreciate something more when we actually need than when we think that we need it.
One of the techniques that I have learnt over the time is to stand in front of the fridge when I am not really hungry and feel like eating something is to look for something that is really low in calorie. As I do not really need energy but just want to feed my feeling to eat. This way I can tackle my desire as well as take care of my physical well being. At these points of times when you just want to satisfy your feeling to eat something you can also eat stuff that will actually help you detox and also help with digestion. My favourite for this are carrots and at times some fresh fruits would do as well. But carrots can give you the feeling of being full.
You can also fill a section of your refrigerator with food that you specifically keep for the times when you are not really hungry. Make sure not to put in this section nut butters, as healthy as it can be, it ihas a huge amount of calories. So you can then go ahead and start bringing in more variety, as you might not be able to fool yourself with the same thing again and again. Some other options are cucumbers, apples, watermelon, yoghurt and other low fat food.
